We could just sail away and spend the day....

So Colton and I went to Lagoon yesterday and boy was it hot. I think the high yesterday was somewhere around 102. We got to Lagoon around 11, which apparently is when it opens (we thought it opened earlier so we were shocked to get there and it was barely opening). So we rode rides for a couple of hours. It was nice cause there were no long lines since it was so early. But after a while the heat was too much so we decided to go swimming. We swam at Lagoon-a-Beach from 1 to 6:30, that's 5 and a half hours!!!! So we swam through the heat of the day which was so nice cause it didn't bother us at all. It was fun going on the water slides and floating down the lazy river and just hanging out in the pool. Finally we decided we better get dried up and go get some food. After we ate some dinner we rode some more rides. Colton finally convinced me to go on the Ferris Wheel, which I absolutely hate. I know it sounds dumb, but I am terrified of heights, especially when I'm not strapped in. And the last time me and Colton went on he scared the crap out of me because he wouldn't stay sitting down and was moving the seat around so much I was honestly going into panic mode. But this time he was nice and stayed in one seat and i just sat and held onto him and didn't move until the horrible ride was over. The funniest thing happened as we were leaving. We're walking toward the exit and suddenly this kid comes up to us and starts saying, "What is this? What is this!" Me and Colton were completely confused because we had no idea who this kid was and weren't sure what he was doing. All we knew was that he was and employee because he had an employee shirt and tag on. Then he says, "This lady doesn't have a prize!" He then proceeds to weasle Colton into winning me a prize. But the funniest thing was, this kid wasn't even working at the game stand he took us to. From the looks of it, he himself had been on his way home but for some reason decided to stop us. So he got Colton to do the game where you have to hit the thing with the really heavy hammer and see how high you can get it. The kid even said if we didn't win he would give him his money back, so it seemed like a pretty sweet deal. So after Colton did it once and won one of those blow up hammer things, the kid then convinces him to do it two more times so he can then trade in his little prizes for one big prize. Colton made me do it once, which I barely won a small prize. But it was funny and I ended up with a stuffed penguin. It was a really fun day which ended on a really funny note. It was a great day.
